Companions: Sister Balero, Sister Herman
So this week was crazy busy. It is crazy here at Sydney. The small town life is so different from where I live. So we started off the week by looking at are area book. Which I now finally understand how to use it. We looked at some people who were interested in joining the church but after knocking and more knocking no one was answering the door. Then we looked and noticed that the elders previously dropped somebody. So we decided to go over there. Then when we got there a lady answered the door. She then goes on and says that her husband is out of town and wants to find a different church to go to and how she does not like her pastor because they fired the last pastor that she liked because of money. We then explained to her that are church has unpaid ministry. Which she then seem to really like. We then asked her if there is a time we can talk more about are church and she said yes!!! Which means we have a teaching appointment!!!
Then the lesson we had with the part member family went ok. The lesson was supposed to be right after dinner so we had dinner then when over there. When we got there we smelt food and we were like oh no. So let's just say I had two dinners and I was so sick by the end of the night. The lesson as I said went ok the husband who is a member kept trying to speak for her. So its hard to figure out how she is really feeling about accepting the gospel. But I know we will get her to talk eventually.
Then we had some craziness happen and we had to do a emergency transfer so I have a new companion. Sis Herman and she is so fun. She loves to talk to everybody which is something I need to learn how to do better.
The next few days were so fun. We found two new people to teach and actually handed one of them a book of Mormon.
Then yesterday was so fun. I think i am really going to like this ward. Yesterday was the first time going to Church in this ward .The ward is so tiny compared to my home ward. If we loose one or two families I think we will be a branch. We then went to dinner at a members home and they made fajitas it was so good. I haven't had fajitas in a long time.
Also I found a new place to live. NOT!!!! There is also a lot of condemned Home's here which is really weird. So let me just say I will not be living downtown. But if I ever moved back here it will be in the country.
Well anyway that is my week. I am having so much fun here. I have to admit I am not use to having stores far away from me but oh well.
I sure love it though.
Parent Letter:
Happy late anniversary!!! This week has been a crazy week. You are probably confuse with the subject line. But don't worry I will explain.
So on Tuesday we knocked on a handful of doors but no one answered then we look at are area book and noticed that the elders dropped somebody which means that they don't visit them anymore. So me and sister Balero decided let's just knock on the door. So we did and a lady answered the door and we talked to her and she said her husband is out of town and she wants some woman to talk to. And we mention that are church we have a class were it is just woman. Then she also mention that she doesn't like her pastor so we mentioned that we have unpaid ministry. Which she seemed very interested. So we have a appointment with her this week.
Then we taught the part member family on Wednesday. We had a appointment set up right after dinner. So we had dinner. Then we went over there and noticed he was grilling you guess it Bratwurst which were also under cooked. So after I ate and was sick which I was sick all night. We taught them about the book of Mormon and how u can use it to get answers from you prayers with faith.
Then the next day was crazy. So me and sister Balero got up and and did are usual morning routine get up exercise plan. Then she headed to the office while I headed to the bedroom. Then all I hear was here saying ohh. So I went in the office and asked her what is up and she said. I just passed out. But it was so fast. I didn't even see it then I saw here hands and she was shaking. Then we called sister Curtis who is the nurse and told her what had happened. She then asked me questions about how she looked and stuff and she looked fine except for the shaking. Then she told us to call her doctor and set a appointment for today. Which we did right when they were open. Then I had to drive for two hours which I haven't driven since I been home. To her doctors appointment. So when we got there I waited about a hour and a half for her to come out. They took a whole bunch of test and stuff. Then when she got done with her appointment. We called sister Curtis again and she told her about what had happened at the doctors and said she will have the results tomorrow. So sister Curtis was like stay where you are. I am calling sister Welch and see if u can stay at the mission home. So she called and we headed about another 2 hours to the mission home. We then stayed there that night. Then the next day we called the doctors to get the results and they came back normal. Which they shouldn't have. They hoped she had anemia which she could just get a blood transfusion. But it wasn't. So president decided that it will be best if we do a emergency transfer. So that sister Balero was closer to her doctor.
So guess what I have a new companion. Her name is Sister Hermann and she is so fun. She loves to talk and to just have fun. She is from Utah and she is great.
If u were to get me a gift card. It will be really nice if it was from Walmart because we do most of are shopping there. What has brought me the most joy about my mission is finding new people to teach. The smile we get after of trying to knock on so many doors with no answer then we randomly have one who wants to learn is the best feeling.
Something that is hard is when members feed us .They keep offering us more food and I have to eat more.
Then if u can send the pro active soon that will be great I am running low. I love you guys so much
